Victoria's largest Futaba Air stockist. All I sell is Futaba
Futaba's authorised Australian agent, Brian Simpson, transferred his sole agency agreement to Hobbies Australia. Congratulations Brian
Changing of the guard also represents a change for me. Fifty four years of selling and promoting in the RC hobby business, I've kept the Futaba bits n pieces I need for personal and commercial RC flying use, and began clearing out products two weeks ago. There are a few genuine Futaba Air and Surface bargains left. Once an item sells out it will automatically be removed from the website
Futaba is the leading competition brand and manufactures a full range of excellent products for sport flying. The company needs to get a wriggle on in the top end aircraft segment. Instructions re-written by Futaba USA or UK would be most helpful, neverthelss, the product does sells itself. All you need do is carry the range. For Melbourne model flyers the only business capable of stocking the range in Mebourne would be Metro Hobbies but the expertise for the Air range is not there and I doubt if that would happen anyway
For specialist RC flying advice, Model Sports in Dapto NSW is the last traditional business hobby shop I can recommend. David McFarlane is a Master rated F3a and IMAC competitor who can design, build his own designs and program a Futaba radio. I've known the McFarlane family for years. Met them at a Trans Tasman comp in Dapto in the 1970s
Efforts organising and sponsoring a big competition event in Melbourne for 2025 is the reason I'm no longer bothering with the RC hobby business. Taking the long term view to help grow the hobby for all participants in the hobby trade has proved a waste of time. At age 67 I've better things to do with my time and money. Anyone interested can read why in the last edition of Flying Futaba newsletter. The Old Fokker edition
To all my customers, thank you for your business. See you at a flying field somewhere
Happy Landings

Industry leading superior frequency hopping, special models such as the OS GT 60 powered Ziroli Spitfire Mk1 scratchbuilt by my Father sport the 14 channel R7014 receiver. My Hirobo Bell 47G heli flies with R7008 as do my RPAS commercial flying aeroplanes
The free magazine article on the Flying Futaba page introduces what I have found to be best value, best flying, well engineered 1 KG 3S foam trainer available today. FMS Super EZ also doubles as a great fun flying model capable of most aerobatic manouvres
Genuine Futaba extension leads, servo arms, grommets and screws, SBus2 telemetry sensors, receivers, battery packs, switch harness carried in stock
